The Strumbellas
Genre: Alt-country
The Strumbellas, a six-piece JUNO award winning collective, are a rock band from Lindsay, Ontario, whose music has been described as alternative country, indie rock, farm emo, and gothic folk. Their 3X platinum hit "Spitis" blasted across airwaves in 2016... and their name rocketed into the mainstream. Their music is catchy and will see you leaving as a fan if you weren't already!
Pablo Preston
Genre: Pop
Preston Pablo is a Canadian singer-songwriter from Timmins, Ontario. He is most noted as a three-time Juno Award nominee at the Juno Awards of 2023, winning the Breakthrough Artist of the Year award, and receiving nods for Single of the Year for "Flowers Need Rain", and the Fan Choice Award.
Chastity
Genre: Pop/Rock
The genre bending music of Chastity hovers in a space of oscillating urgency, both melodic and noisey, juxtaposing themes of collectivity and isolation.
Matthew Holtby
Genre: Folk
Hailing from Warkworth, has been honing his craft as a songwriter and performer for nearly two decades, producing original and emotive music that strikes a chord with audiences. Recently embarking on a new adventure as a solo artist, he has channeled his influences from the music he grew up with into his latest collection, featuring songs and stories that touch on themes of love, loss, and redemption.

Haddix’s music has a dark and alternative pop vibe that has been greatly influenced by her love for contemporary and modern dance and art. She quotes “if you can’t move to it or feel something internally while listening – it just doesn’t feel authentic."
NERiMA

“Staying true to both punk-rock roots and a love for the modern alternative scene, young Toronto-based NERiMA explores a boundless mix of genres in their sentimental music. With influences ranging from rock bands like The Smashing Pumpkins and Paramore to alt-indie breakthrough artists such as Weezer and Wolf Alice, this new and growing band showcases a variety of sounds: upbeat instrumentation with fun vocals, mellow songs with softly-sung, hard-hitting lyrics, and much more in between.

Delon Om

“Born and raised in Toronto, Canadian singer/songwriter Delon Om is poised to play a revolutionary role in the music industry. Om decided to pursue a solo career, and his success thus far is nothing short of remarkable. Om has been nominated for two CBC SearchLight awards for his solo album “Theatre of Cruelty”, released in 2022. He also earned two OMA nominations for this album: Best Emerging Artist and Best Music Video.”
Cale Crowe
Genre: Alternative Folk
From the hills of Alderville First Nation in Ontario, Canada, Cale was fuelled by music since he could tie his shoes and has been taking audiences on a turbulent journey since he first picked up a guitar at 13. Cale himself describes the songs that make up "Stars & Promises", his debut EP, and the sophomore EP "Til You Let Me Go", as different stages of his own life, each telling a different chapter of the same story.

Oshawa Tourism and The OMAs 2023 (formerly Oshawa Music Awards) are thrilled to announce a momentous addition to Convergence Weekend that will amplify the vibrant music scene of Oshawa and the Durham Region. The highly anticipated 2023 Awards show, celebrating music in the Durham Region, will join the outstanding music and culture lineup taking over downtown Oshawa from September 22 to 24 at the Convergence Music and Art Festival. The OMAs have announced that the annual awards show, including live performances, will take place on September 24, 2023, at The Regent Theatre.
